Step 1: Choose and prepare your design Select the design you want to use for your t-shirt, either by creating one in Cricut Design Space or downloading one from the internet. Once you have your design, size it to fit your t-shirt and mirror it so that it will be correctly oriented when transferred to the shirt. Then, load your HTV into your Cricut machine and cut out your design using the appropriate settings for the type of vinyl you're using.

Step 2: Weed your design Once your design has been cut, use a weeding tool to remove the excess vinyl from around your design. Be sure to also weed out any negative space within the design, such as the centers of letters or shapes.

Step 3: Position your design on the t-shirt Carefully position your design on your t-shirt, making sure it is centered and level. Once you're happy with the placement, apply heat to transfer the design using a heat press to transfer your design onto the t-shirt. Follow the instructions for the specific type of HTV you are using to determine the correct temperature and timing for the transfer.

Step 4: Remove the transfer sheet After the transfer has been completed, carefully remove the transfer sheet from your t-shirt, leaving your design in place. If any parts of the design didn't transfer fully, repeat the heat transfer process.

Enjoy your custom t-shirt Now that your custom design has been transferred to your t-shirt, you can proudly wear your one-of-a-kind creation and show off your creativity to the world!

That's it! Follow these simple steps and you can make custom t-shirts with ease using Cricut and HTV.
